Snarens Olive and Cheese Bread 1 14.5 oz can black olives drained 1 6 oz jar pimento-stuffed green olives - drained 2 green onions ¼ pound softened butter ½ real mayonnaise - NO - Miracle Whip - which I know is no problemo in your house, lol 1 pound Monterey Jack Cheese greated 1 loaf crusty french bread Preheat oven 325. Chop black and green olives - a rough chop, not fine. Slice Green Onions, then chop them up roughly In large bowl combine the butter, mayo, cheese, chopped olives and green onions.  Stir until thoroughly combined.   At this point grab the nearest cracker and take a taste, repeat as needed, LOL - that's in the recipe not my addition. Slice the bread in half lengthwise.  Spread the mixture in an even layer on each half.  Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese mixture is thoroughly melted and beginning to turn light brown and bubbly.  Cut into diagonal slices and serve immediately. Hey with the recipe I just sent you - a variation is replace the olives with artichoke hearts (YUMMMM) and grated parmesan cheese for the black olives and jack cheese.  This sounds wonderful as well. You can prepare this mixture up to 2 days ahead of time. SERVES: 4 SOURCE: snaren, 12.21.09
